When Special Survey is carried out for ships applying Enhanced Survey Program(ESP), Condition Evaluation Report (hereinafter referred to as "CER") and Executive Hull Summary (hereinafter "EHS") are issued for the owner, separately, and then the owners are requested to keep them in the file, exclusively used for Condition Evaluation Reports (called "Green File") onboard the ship.

ClassNK has investigated behaviour of waves acting on windows located considerably above the freeboard deck of ships where the navigation bridges are located forward of the midship, such as onboard Ro-Ro cargo ships.

The most recent adoptions to IMO legislation (SOLAS Reg. II-1/3-6) have established new requirements for means of access. Throughout the life of a vessel, this access enables overall and close-up inspections and material thickness measurements of the vessel’s structures. These means of access may be used by flag Administrations, classification societies, vessel personnel and others as necessary.

The ABS Guide for Marine Health, Safety, Quality, Environmental and Energy Management or the ABS Guide for Marine Management Systems in short, has been developed with the objective of assisting shipowners, managers, and operators to improve the safety, environmental and energy performance in the management and operation of ships.

This Guide presents criteria for compliance with ABS CyberSafety™ requirements. These requirements will be used by ABS in the cybersecurity reviews and surveys of information technology (IT) systems; operational technology (OT) control systems; and their system interfaces and software on ships, offshore assets and the management systems of the associated shoreside facilities.

The purpose of these Guide is to establish minimum requirements for inspection of Rack and Pinion jacking gear at Special Periodical Survey of Hull for Self-Elevating Drilling Units for consistent application of the below noted Rule requirement.
