he U.S. Ambassador to Greece, Kimberly Guilfoyle, said that the partnership between Greece and the US was getting stronger by the day during her speech at the 11th Delphi Economic Forum 2026 on Wednesday, at a panel entitled “U.S. Independence: The 250th Anniversary”.

The top diplomat highlighted the strong bond between the two countries, stressing the inspiration the United States’s founding Fathers drew from the philosophy, political virtue, and thought of ancient Greece. “Without Greece, there would be no United States”, she stated.

In her remarks, she expressed her gratitude to President Donald Trump for giving her the opportunity to serve as the U.S. ambassador to Greece.

She went on to underline that the partnership between Greece and the United States was being demonstrated through concrete action rather than words alone, pointing to a series of recent agreements spanning energy, defense, and technology.

Guilfoyle stated the relationship between the United States and Greece is strong and is expected to yield significant benefits for both our countries. She noted that American exports were strengthening the Greek economy through energy and technology, while Greek shipowners were contributing to the development of the maritime industry in the United States.
