A container ship at Khor Fakkan Port in the United Arab Emirates reported suspicious activity after multiple splashes from unknown projectiles were seen close to the vessel during loading operations, according to the United Kingdom Maritime Trade Operations (UKMTO).

The vessel’s master said the splashes occurred very near the ship while it was alongside at the port. Following the report, UKMTO advised ships in the area to proceed with caution and report any unusual activity.

Authorities in Sharjah, where the port is located, confirmed they were responding to an incident that targeted Khor Fakkan Port.

Officials said emergency teams were deployed and the situation was brought under control, with investigations ongoing. They urged the public to rely only on official updates and avoid spreading rumours.
