Thompson Shipping Group expands fleet with handysize purchase
The Fremantle (Western Australia)-based Thompson Shipping Group has expanded its dry bulk fleet through its subsidiary, Thompson Shipping Lines.
This latest acquisition is a Japanese-built 35,947-dwt handysize bulk carrier, which is to be renamed TSL Lusaha.
Australia’s dry bulk shipowner remains confident in the outlook for the dry bulk sector and believes that this purchase further strengthens the Group’s presence in the global dry bulk market.
“This milestone positions Thompson Shipping Lines as the leading privately owned dry bulk ship owner in Australia,” the company wrote in a post on social media.
