To stream via shoutcast is a very easy process, all that we need is a PC connected to the internet and the appropriate softwares. There are severals software on the market that support the DSP Plugin, Winam, Sam Broadcasting, Virtual DJ etc.
We will start streaming with Winamp that is a powerfull and FREE software.
- Make your Stream SHOUTcast plan order here.
- Download latest Winamp here, and proceed with the installation.
- Download the SHOUTcast DSP plugin here, and proceed with the installation.
- Open Winamp, under "Option -> Preferences" a new window will apear. At the left column under the "Plug-in" click on "DSP/Effect" and select the "Nullsoft SHOUTcast Source DSP v1.9.1"
- Go at the "Encoder" tab and select encoder type "MP3 Encoder" . At the "Encoder settings" select the bitrate that you have purchase with your order.
- Go at the "Output" tad and at the "Output configuration" fill out the fields taking data from the verification e-mail that we have send to you.
- Address: Your IP | Port: Your Port | Password: The password that we have send to you.
- Select the "Automatic reconection on connection failure" and set the "Reconnection Timeout" to 0.
- Select the "Connect at Startup" If you want to stream once you have open the DSP Plugin.
- Press the connect button.
- Thats it. If you type on a browser you " yourIP:yourPort " you will your shoutcast status and currenct song playing. If you have setup the flash player to any web site, you should start listening your radio.
